guides are mainly local residents who inform our
guests compentently about the country, its history, geography
and biology and about all interesting facts.
The lodges and hotels included in
our tours are mainly smaller, locally owned and ecological
orientated properties, most of them make efforts
to protect nature and wildlife within their private reserves
and support the local communities.
Most of our tours can be offered
as well with semi-public means of transportation,
vans and buses serving certain routes within the country,
for those who are travelling on low budget and in order
to keep the emissional impact on nature as low as possible.
Ecotourism does benefit the visited
sites in a large number of ways but will always be a
walk on the edge. Aventuras Tierra Verde is seriously
concerned about the protection of Costa Ricas manifold nature
and wildlife, being expressed through carefully designed
